  As in most smaller viticultural cantons there are two vines that make up the majority of the vineyards. The Chasselas represents nearly 90 % of the production of the canton and the Pinot Noir makes up most of the balance. There are also some specialities; Fribourg, the only canton of the French-speaking Switzerland, produces also some Freisamer.
