The canton of Geneva produces mainly Chasselas and Gamay. There are also some specialities that seduce the palate of the most hard to please by their typical characters.
There are some 32 different varieties the diversity of which corresponds to the particularities of the two vine regions of the canton.
The Chasselas represents 35% of the canton’s production. The balance is mainly made up by the Gamay (32%) and the Pinot Noir (9%). There are also some white and red specialities (24%).
