Vines cultivated
When talking about the vineyards of the canton of Neuchâtel, one often refers to the smallest of the big vineyards in Switzerland. It stretches majestically between the shores of the Lake Neuchâtel and the lesser hills buttressing the Jura. This vineyard exists for more than a thousand years and was the first one in Switzerland to hurt a limit of output.

It is made up of 18 viticultural villages and covers a surface of 605 ha. The Chasselas and the Pinot Noir are the main vines and represent together more than 90% of the production of the canton. The Pinot Noir is the only red vine cultivated in the vineyards of the canton of Neuchâtel.
