  The wine-growers of St. Gallen are very enterprising and cultivate a large number of vines that produce well-known wines. There is a great variety of excellent Pinot Noir, Riesling x Sylvaner with a very pronounced and pleasant-smelling character, Pinot gris, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Bacchus, Kerner, Gewürztraminer and Freisamer.
