Varieties of white vines
  Müller-Thurgau

This is a typical northern vine that adapts only to a limited area. Although,in the better situated vineyards, it produces heavy wines, lacking in acidity and having a coarse perfume, it does well in some locations in the Geneva vineyards, but it is in the German-speaking part of Switzerland that it best expresses its elegant and fresh qualities. Experiments with this vine, going back a long way in the best locations of the Lake Geneva area and in central Valais, were however disappointing. Besides, this wine blends badly with that of the Chasselas (they both lose their typical characteristics).
