Varieties of white vines
  Muscat blanc

This is a delicate vine that is very sensitive to many pests and parasites. Furthermore, it is difficult to harvest at the right moment, because its grapes mature irregulary. Although they become golden and sugary in the sun, in the shade they remain green and hebaceous for a long time. The interest of the white Muscat resides especially in the unsually generous and characteristic bouquet of its wine that sometimes lacks body. In Switzerland, the white Muscat is hardly cultivated excepted in the Valais. Muscat wine, though not widespread, is appreciated by many wine-lovers. Mentioned in 1798 by the Citezen Reymondin.
