  Petite Arvine

An old vine from the Valais, Petite Arvine appears to originate from Martigny. It is a late variety and the grapes mature well only in the best locations on the hilside. To be found particularly at Fully, Chamoson, Conthey and Sion. Arvine is not cultivated outside the Valais, except in the Val d'Aoste where its adaptability is being studied. Petite Arvine has a very virile character, and is one of the most noble vines.
