The vines are partly cultivated on terraces in the communes of Niederurnen and Mollis.
Climate
It enjoys the same climatic conditions as the vineyards of Eastern Switzerland, of which it is part, however it is also influenced by the lake Walensee .
Soil
As with most vineyards of this region, the soil is of molasses-type
